Director of Investor Relations & Capital Formation

Michael Baratta serves as Director of Investor Relations & Capital Formation at Advenir Azora, where he leads the firm’s capital formation and relationship management initiatives across all verticals. In this role, he focuses on expanding Advenir Azora’s investor network, deepening relationships with existing partners, and enhancing the firm’s institutional visibility in the market.

Prior to joining Advenir Azora, Michael was a Director at Kawa Capital Management, a multi-strategy alternative investment manager with a credit-focused hedge fund and an active commercial real estate bridge lending arm. During his tenure at Kawa, he worked across the platform on investment management, capital markets, investor relations, and corporate development initiatives.

Previously, Michael was an Investment Associate at WhiteHorse Capital, the private credit arm of H.I.G. Capital, where he originated and underwrote senior secured loans supporting middle-market leveraged buyouts, acquisitions, and recapitalizations. He spent the early part of his career in investment banking on the Leveraged Finance Capital Markets desk at RBC Capital Markets, advising sponsors and corporate clients on debt financing and capital structure strategies.
